Discovery Park of America has opened in Union City, Tennessee, offering visitors a world-class entertainment and educational experience with more than 70,000-square feet of exhibits on nature, science, technology, history and art.
Christie today announced the formal launch of Christie Global Professional Services, a new group that consolidates Christie’s long-standing Managed Services’ offerings to a single, full-service delivery function capable of supporting diverse visual and experiential digital installations globally.
Christie Solaria Series projectors and Christie Vive Audio cinema systems have been installed in a newly opened cineplex located in New Farm, a trendy inner-city suburb of Brisbane. Known as New Farm Cinemas, the complex houses six auditoriums that are color-themed with each theater catered for different purposes and clientele.

Southern Theatres has completed its second all Christie entertainment complex, at the new Southern Theatres Movie Tavern 8 in Covington, Louisiana. The eight-screen cinema eatery has Christie Solaria Series projectors and Christie Vive Audio cinema systems.
Christie, through a generous donation of equipment and installation services, will be the sole provider of all cinematic and audio equipment within the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts Eileen Norris Theatre, and will be working together with USC SCA in enhancing visual technologies, specifically cinematic ones.
The new Ham Yard Hotel is the eighth London property in the Firmdale Hotels group. It opened in June. With the help of system integrator Protronic, Arena Cinemas, Geneva, Switzerland, has equipped each of its nine theaters with Auro 11.1 immersive sound by Barco. The upcoming films Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lucy and Into the Storm have all been mixed in Auro 11.1.
Mirada teamed up with UCLA to create a one-of-a-kind film designed specifically for projection onto the façade of the University's iconic Royce Hall. The 10-minute film produced at 5K+ resolution was developed from beginning to end by Mirada, and became a true passion project for the creative team; Mirada co-founder Javier Jimenez is a UCLA alum, and the company has participated in mentorship programs with UCLA students for several years.
In the lead up to the 700th anniversary of Scotland’s Battle of Bannockburn, a new visitor centre at the historic site in Stirling has become the first in the world to use fight choreography and motion capture techniques to immerse visitors in a realistic 3D medieval battle.
