Systems integrator CES+ recently worked with Cinema Lab, the new operators of The Village Cinemas at South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, to reopen the center’s five-screen movie theatre.

Moving Image Technologies has been awarded a contract from Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to provide equipment and furnishings for its Alamo theatre location in Staten Island, New York. The award follows a recently announced contract from an Alamo Drafthouse franchisee for a new theatre in Washington, D.C.
Earlier this year, the Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador became the only cinema project to be started and developed in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theatre has 11 auditoriums, including a 4D Emotion + 3D screen and a premium large format screen called MCX – Multicines Xtreme. CES+ was the integrator on the project.

The Jamaican cinema chain Palace Amusement Company has opened a new four-screen multiplex in Portmore Pines, St Catherine, featuring Christie digital cinema projection throughout, including an RGB pure laser projector, the first of its kind in the country. Cinema Equipment & Supplies carried out the installation.
The Ecuadorian cinema chain Multicines has just opened a new multiplex in the city of Guayaquil in which all 11 screens are fully equipped with Christie RGB pure laser projectors. The installation was carried out by Cinema Equipment & Supplies. The new multiplex is located in the Mall del Río shopping center in Guayaquil, the country’s main port and largest city.
