Egyptian Cinemas Convert to Digital Cinema with Kinoton
Kinoton has installed a dozen digital cinema systems in some of the largest Egyptian multiplex theatres in Cairo and Alexandria. They include the City Stars Cinema with 16 auditoriums, which is the number one in Cairo, and the six-auditorium Cineplex Green Plaza in Alexandria.
AAM, Videvox Announce Digital Cinema Delivery Trial in Sweden
Digital cinema company Arts Alliance Media and Scandinavian partner Videvox, are rolling out an electronic content delivery trial to cinemas across Sweden. The trial of the Videvox MOV software, powered by AAM’s Courier content distribution platform, will initially roll out to 10 sites and will eventually expand to 70 sites in total.
Cinemas Procinal to Install GDC IMBs and NEC Digital Cinema Projectors
GDC Technology Limited has announced that Cinemas Procinal, the fourth largest exhibitor in Colombia, has selected its SX-3000 Standalone IMB with Portable Storage for its digital conversion. This deployment covers the entire cinema chain totaling 66 screens in 16 theatres across Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Villavicencio, and Apartado. NEC Colombia, a wholly owned NEC subsidiary, is the system integrator for the deployment and will supply NEC DLP Cinema projectors.
