The Regal Cineworld Group has successfully secured a new $1.9 billion term loan B facility. The new facility is priced at a secured overnight financing rate plus 525 base percentage points with a maturity date of December 1, 2031, and replaces the group's existing term loan B.

CinemaNext has appointed Donald McGarva as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. McGarva brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in the entertainment, technology, and business-to-business sectors, with a proven track record of driving business growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation at global companies in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.

Large mall developers in parts of India plan to shrink multiplex spaces in their future projects as cinemas no longer attract big crowds and generate enough revenues throughout the year. Multiplexes used to generate ten percent of the footfall of a mall, which has reduced to six or seven percent, forcing the developers to rethink the strategy, industry executives said.
