National CineMedia, the US Representative for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the largest cinema advertising network in the country, has announced that Gold House, the leading cultural ecosystem that unites, invests in, and champions Asian Pacific creators and companies, as the official non-profit partner for the 2024 US Young Lions competition.

Buhotec Enters the Cinema Market

Buhotec is a family-owned company based in Miami, Florida founded in 2021 by Manuel Arana and Alejandro Gallo. Until this year, the company and its 26 employees had been strictly focused on the gaming business and it claims to be Florida’s number on gaming distributor. This year, however, Buhotec, which is a full-service technology provider and systems integrator, is entering the cinema business. Last year was the company’s most profitable year ever and it believes now is the right time to leverage that success and its experience in gaming to make the move into cinema. I recently spoke via email with Paula B. Silveira, Buhotec’s head of cinema sales, the person responsible for spearheading Buhotec's expansion into the cinema industry and fostering strategic partnerships with industry leaders. Cinépolis and CitySwoon Reimagine Speed Dating

Cinépolis has announced the debut of its cinematic speed dating event series in partnership with CitySwoon, the world’s first and only dating platform that combines cloud-based, algorithm-powered matching with real-world speed dating events to reimagine the traditional dating experience. Available at select theatre locations nationwide beginning this February, Cinépolis' sophisticated and stylish lobby bars will be transformed into a series of pop-up speed dating venues hosted by CitySwoon.
