Streamland Media has finalized the acquisition of Sim Video International’s post-production business. This expands Streamland’s picture and sound finishing services to New York City. Timewaying Moves from 3D to LED

Earlier this month, the Chinese manufacturer Timewaying Technology announced that its LA2K-10 LED Cinema System had passed the DCI Compliance Test Plan. Timewaying is the largest 3D equipment supplier for the Chinese market, with more than 30,000 3D systems installed among 11,000 cinema sites across China.

Digital Cinema United Bringing DCU Connect to the U.S.

Digital Cinema United has launched its cloud based DCU Connect platform into the U.S. to support the advancement of content delivery for film distributors and theatrical exhibitors. DCU Connect, which is based on Sharc technology, has been in development since 2015 to address the high cost of physical and satellite delivery of digital cinema packages directly to movie theaters globally.
