After achieving critical acclaim during an award-winning tour of global film festivals, Image Nation Abu Dhabi’s feature film Scales (Sayidat Al Bahr) will be screening in cinemas in Saudi Arabia this week, after it was picked up by Saudi distributor Cinewaves Films. Viewers will be able to experience the debut film from Saudi Arabian writer-director Shahad Ameen in cinemas across Riyadh, Jeddah, Tabuk, Jizan and the Eastern Province in its first theatrical release.
Vue Entertainment’s Cinema3D circuit in Poland has installed Vista Cinema management software in all 11 sites. The announcement was made jointly by Roland Jones, executive director technical services, Vue International and Till Cussmann, Vista’s senior vice president, sales for EMEA and general manager, Europe.

CinemaCon 2021, originally scheduled for April 26-29 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, has been rescheduled for August 23-26 it was announced today by CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser. Toho Cinemas has selected Cinionic laser cinema projection for its new Tachikawa location, which opened in September. The theatre is the first Cinionic laser site for Toho Cinemas, one of Japan’s largest exhibitors with more than 679 screens across 72 locations and will include Barco Series 4 and Barco Smart laser units.
Sharp has acquired 66 percent of NEC Display Solutions shares of stock to complete the previously announced transaction to form a joint venture. The deal became effective November 1. In connection with the completion of the transaction, the company has changed its name to Sharp NEC Display Solutions and has started business operations as a subsidiary of Sharp.

This will enable Marcus Theatres to connect auditoriums, centralize content management and automate the transfer of features, trailers and encryption keys. The agreement also provides Marcus Theatres with Comscore's Enterprise Web circuit management service, allowing Marcus Theatres to streamline operations circuit wide and ensure shows play out as planned.
