As Cinemark reopens its theatres across the United States, it is using Unique X’s newly updated SmartTrailering software activated in every theatre. SmartTrailering delivers a sophisticated, centralized trailer scheduling system that fully automates an exhibitors’ trailering process via a user-friendly, cloud-based system. Vue Entertainment’s Cinema3D circuit in Poland has installed Vista Cinema management software in all 11 sites. The announcement was made jointly by Roland Jones, executive director technical services, Vue International and Till Cussmann, Vista’s senior vice president, sales for EMEA and general manager, Europe.

Comscore today announced a multi-year agreement to provide Marcus Theatres with the company’s Comscore Cinema ACE theatre management system. This will enable Marcus Theatres to connect auditoriums, centralize content management and automate the transfer of features, trailers and encryption keys. The agreement also provides Marcus Theatres with Comscore's Enterprise Web circuit management service, allowing Marcus Theatres to streamline operations circuit wide and ensure shows play out as planned.
Movio has named Sarah Lewthwaite the company’s chief client officer. Lewthwaite most recently was managing director & senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has been with Movio for six years. The announcement was made by Movio co-founder and chief executive William Palmer.
Digital movie ticketing platform Atom Tickets and the Independent Cinema Alliance representing more than 175 companies and 3,000 screens, have formed a partnership to create an easy way for independent theaters to offer contactless, digital ticketing for movie fans. The first group of theatres to sign on and activate digital ticketing under the partnership include Premiere Cinemas, with theatres in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, New Mexico and South Carolina; CineLux Theatres in California; Rainbow Cinemas in Alabama; Park Plaza Cinema in South Carolina; and Palace Cinema and Hollywood 20 Cinema, both in Tennessee.
Vista Cinema has signed a multi-year deal with SM Cinema, the Philippines largest film exhibitor. The arrangement is the first for Vista in the Philippines and will give SM customers easier access to seat reservations, ticket purchasing and concession sales.
Sena Cinemas, Reykjavik has signed a multi-year agreement with Movio Cinema to better analyze, understand and connect with its cinema audiences. Sena owns and operates Iceland’s largest cinemas including Smarabio equipped with laser projectors for all screens and a Dolby Atmos sound system in the main hall. Smarabio’s fun center hosts an arcade, laser tag, virtual reality games, karaoke, and facilities to accommodate groups of all sizes.
CineXpert, which runs network operation centers and provides theatre management systems is offering free connectivity and service activation to new customers now through the end of the year.
