Nadaud Appointed Managing Director Pathé Live

Caspar Nadaud has been appointed managing director of Pathé Live. He succeeds Thierry Fontaine who now holds the title president. Nadaud, 34 years old, started in 2007 as the sales and distribution manager of Arts Alliance Media, one of the leading international theatrical distributors of Event Cinema. From 2012 on he was the director of international sales and business development.

Graeme Parcher Named GM of Sim Digital Los Angeles

The Sim Group has appointed former Kodak executive Graeme Parcher as general manager of the Los Angeles office of its SIM Digital division, a supplier of camera systems and related gear to motion picture and television productions. Parcher will oversee operations, manage relations with studios, independent producers and other key clients, and develop strategies for growth.

Philippe Panzini Named Codex Vice President

Codex has named Philippe Panzini vice president, user experience. Best known as the chief technology officer at Discreet Logic Panzini was instrumental in designing the first version of Flame. In 1998 he was a co-recipient of an Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Science and Engineering Award for the development and implementation of the Flame and Inferno software. After taking on a key role in the acquisition of Discreet Logic by Autodesk he then worked with Apple’s imaging products group on forward-looking technologies, particularly in the areas of improving the user experience and designing user interfaces.

Hallen Succeeds Silverman at HPA

Hollywood Professional Association president Leon Silverman has stepped down as president of the organization that he helped found to make room for the next generation of leadership and a newly expanded board of directors. In his traditional remarks made during the opening session of the 2016 HPA Tech Retreat, Silverman also announced that the HPA Board has elected Seth Hallen to succeed him. Hallen, senior vice president of Global Creative Services at Sony DADC New Media Solutions, has been an HPA board member since 2007, working closely with Silverman and the board on a number of key initiatives and management of the organization. Silverman will continue to serve on the board of directors in the newly created role of Past President.
