The third and final series of ITV’s acclaimed TV crime drama Broadchurch was shot using Cooke Anamorphic/i lenses by cinematographer Carlos Catalan. The unusual decision to shoot a TV drama anamorphically was taken to make the most of the wide vistas of the coastal setting, and to bring a cinematic look to the story.
Seattle’s SIFF Cinema and the Northwest Film Forum will present the world premiere of Danger Diva, a Robert McGinley film, with a live rock concert from Thunderpussy on April 13. Danger Diva is a cyberpunk musical thriller that McGinley wrote, directed and produced.

Two Netflix shows – Master of None and Love – have three things in common: both are comedies, both have a cinematic look and cinematographer Mark Schwartzbard shot both. Created by comedian Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang, Master of None tells the story of Dev, a 30-year-old actor who attempts to balance his career and love life in New York City. Love, created by Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, This Is 40), Paul Rust, and Lesley Arfin, explores an intense relationship between two Angelenos, Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) and Gus (Paul Rust).
Representatives from the European digital cinema technology and services company Ymagis Group returned to Hollywood last week to give private demos of their ÉclairColor process at the Harmony Gold theatre on Sunset Boulevard.
