Star Cinema Grill Acquires Two Chicago Area Theatres

Houston-based Star Cinema Grill today announced that it has executed lease agreements and plans to soon re-open two former IPIC locations in the Chicago suburbs of South Barrington and Bolingbrook.

Star Cinema Grill is expected to begin operations at both locations in the first quarter of 2022. Planned improvements include upgrading, in 100 percent of the auditoriums, new premium recliner seats, all with seat heaters as well as seat-side food and beverage service to all seats, not just the premium sections. These locations will also offer Star Cinema Grill’s Premium Pod Seating, which have added amenities that guests will love like privacy walls, blankets and priority food and beverage service.

With favorites like house made everything but the bagel hummus, southwest eggrolls, hand battered chicken tenders, strawberry chicken and walnut salad and many more American grill selections in addition to the full bar that guests have come to enjoy at the movies.

Star Cinema Grill appeals to all segments of the communities it serves and provides an affordable, yet upscale experience that everyone from families to date night can enjoy. Ticket pricing will be very competitive in the market and will ensure that everyone who wants to enjoy a movie at these locations will be able to do so.
