Picturedrome Cinemas has signed an agreement with ShowTime Analytics to provide it with real-time operational insights and a digital marketing system.Picturedrome Electric Theatre Company is a seven-site UK exhibition circuit. Its flagship site, the Picturedrome Bognor Regis, first opened its doors in 1919 and has since become part of the family of brands operating across Wales and England, under managing director Adam Cunard.

Picturedrome’s leadership team was looking for a way to centrally manage and analyze all of the operational data flowing through its point-of-sale systems across their sites, while using this data to better understand and market to their customer base.

Picturedrome’s group operations manager Spencer Clark said, “As an independent cinema chain, Picturedrome is always looking at how we can use our time more efficiently and improve interaction with our loyal band of followers. Our database had grown year on year, yet we had no means of targeting or analysing profile trends. Our sole means of interaction was via a generic film newsletter sent out week on week. Showtime Analytics has enabled us to unlock our database, engage with our guests and to review our performance data with a user-friendly solution.”

Mark de Quervain, Showtime’s director client services and strategy added, “The need for cost/revenue optimization has never been more important to circuit operators. I am looking forward to helping the team at Picturedrome use the Showtime platform to harness their first party data and not only benefit from significant indirect savings by freeing up internal resources, but also to use our tools to generate revenue through increased sales, more effective loyalty and membership programs, improved retail sales and more efficient film booking.”
