Ben Chou, CEO of Welcome Entertainment’s WE Drive-Ins now has an exclusive lease of the historic Santa Monica landmark Sears parking lot to show Hollywood’s newest movie releases.
The drive-in will open February 11 with the feature film Minari, in which a Korean American family moves to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. Amidst the challenges of this new life in the strange and rugged Ozarks, they find the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home. From director Lee Isaac Chung, featuring Steven Yeun, Yeri Han, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, Scott Haze, with Yuh-Jung Youn and Will Patton. The executive producer is Brad Pitt.
Each vehicle will receive one WE Experience Pack full of goodies including premium popcorn, beverages, reserved VIP parking, and vouchers from local and national partners worth in excess of $30 to maximize the WE experience.
We Drive-Ins utilizes high lumen brightness DCI-compliant 2K and 4K projectors. Sound is transmitted via Dolby FM transmitters to each vehicle’s FM radio.
One day prior to each show guests will be able to pre-order boxed dinners from Mendocino Farms as well as their favorite movie theatre concessions.
