More2Screen has been appointed by Eagle Rock Entertainment to distribute a specially re-mastered 4K Ultra HD version of the iconic concert movie Queen Rock Montreal to cinemas worldwide beginning November 24.
Recorded live at Montreal’s Forum in 1981, it was the first time a band had filmed an entire show in full cinema format 35mm. Now the original footage has been re-mastered in 4K Ultra HD with superb surround sound to create the best ever cinema event experience for Queen fans around the world, showcasing a theatrical and brilliantly entertaining performance in its full pixel-sharp glory.
Queen Rock Montreal came at the end of an extraordinary year for the band when they had topped both the U.S. singles and album charts for the first time, had become the first band ever to top the U.K. singles, albums and video charts simultaneously. On their legendary tour to Latin America had broken the world attendance record for a single paying concert when 131,000 Brazilians saw the band play Sao Paulo’s Morumbi stadium. The concert movie features many of their favorite hits including We Will Rock You, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Under Pressure, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust and Bohemian Rhapsody.
