The Independent Cinema Alliance and the Cinema Buying Alliance are partnering with Digital Light Sources to launch the first UVC air and surface disinfection program for facility-wide theatre complexes. The CBA is an entity wholly owned and managed by ICA. Its mission is to make ICA members more profitable by giving them access to benefits and purchasing power that would not otherwise be available to them. As the nations only group buying program for exhibitors, CBA plays a vital role in leveling the playing field and building a competitive position for local and regional cinemas.

DLS has secured an exclusive agreement with the largest US manufacturer of UV disinfection equipment to provide the best in class UVC light disinfection solutions to US cinemas. Its product portfolio covers HVAC system, upper air, mobile and handheld UV fixtures which, when utilized correctly, stops the spread of airborne microorganisms in the air and on surfaces.

“DLS is very excited to work with the ICA and CBA on this timely and much needed program,” said Sami Haddad, president of Digital Light Sources. “This collaboration can only emphasize our company’s resolve and commitment to help the members of Independent Cinema Alliance win customers back as they re-open doors for business.”
