The Guitammer Company, creator of the ButtKicker line of low frequency audio transducers has announced it would significantly increase its AMC Theatres footprint with thirty-four new ButtKicker enabled theaters slated for 2016.
These thirty-four installations will substantially increase Guitammer’s AMC deployment from its current fifteen locations and approximately 3,100 ButtKicker enabled seats to forty-nine locations and over 10,000 seats, which is more than a threefold increase in both locations and seats.
According to Mark A. Luden, Guitammer’s president, “This strong growth in orders is continued validation that our haptic ButtKicker products provide an important piece of the premium theater experience that is becoming more and more popular with theatergoers. We expect this growth to continue well beyond this year.
Combined with our existing cinema footprint, this means that approximately 2.5 million people in the US will experience a ButtKicker enabled theater providing a tremendous base for marketing our haptic enabled broadcast services and hardware for the consumer at home.”
