Cinépolis, the largest cinema chain in Latin America and fourth largest in the world, has installed a GDC SX-3000 Standalone Integrated Media Block.

Founded in 1971, Mexican movie theatre circuit Cinépolis operates more than 4,388 screens in 13 countries. Its extensive footprint and the large scale of deployment under this long-term agreement – which will cover various Latin American countries – called for a service provider that delivers post-sales technical support of the highest caliber.  Following a six-month-long testing period, Cinépolis awarded part of this agreement to GDC Technology.

Dr. Man-Nang Chong, founder, chairman and CEO of GDC Technology, said, “We are delighted to have been chosen by Cinépolis, for whom we have the utmost respect as a leader in Latin American exhibition. The award of this contract demonstrates once again how GDC Technology’s professional technical support makes it the smart choice for top-tier exhibitors who do not tolerate service downtime. Last year, GDC Technology expanded its footprint in Latin America by setting up offices in Peru and Brazil. These local offices enable the company to provide emergency spare parts and customized support in the region, to the appreciation of local customers.”
