Next week Galaxy Theatres will open the world’s first Sony Digital Cinema premium large format auditorium at its Las Vegas Boulevard Mall location. The opening is timed with this year’s CinemaCon, which is being held April 1-4 at Caesar’s Palace.
Sony Digital Cinema is a new PLF experience that includes Sony’s dual laser projection system, along with powerful sound and luxury reclining seats. CinemaCon attendees are encouraged to visit the theatre during its opening week.
Sony will also be demonstrating in SRX-R815P laser projector in Pompeian Ballroom II at Caesars Palace from April 2-4. The projector boasts a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and offers operational efficiency, along with increased immersion for vibrant imagery that matches the filmmaker’s original intent.
