The Event Cinema Association will host an ECA Lounge for members attending CineEurope in June in Barcelona, Spain. The lounge will be located in a large area on Level 1 of the Convention Centre directly off of the foyer. The 18-month-old trade association will be hosting a number of events over the course of the week designed to give value back to its members and continue its commitment to promote and support the event cinema industry.
Founder and chair of the ECA Melissa Keeping said, “CineEurope is one of the biggest events on the calendar for the ECA; it’s a way to reach and support our members in as direct a way as possible. We are delighted to be providing an immersive cinema experience in partnership with our sponsor Philips in the ECA Lounge for members and partners alike to enjoy.”
The area will be transformed into a cinema and networking space where ECA members and guests can have meetings, launches, and drinks. This will provide the ECA sponsors the opportunity to speak directly to delegates who are actively involved in this emerging and fast growing sector.
Phillips, in association with the ECA, are providing a LightVibes mini theatre installation complete with digital cinema projector and 5.1 surround sound, and will be demonstrating this immersive cinema entertainment lighting system throughout the event. The ECA will also be showcasing its annual showreel, featuring upcoming content from its members at regular intervals throughout each day.
Audience Entertainment will be showcasing their Interactive Dimension technology during the week. There will be several presentations from sponsors DSAT Cinema, Akuentic/Euromedia, SmartJog Ymagis Logistics and Motion Pictures Solutions who will also be hosting a drinks reception on the Wednesday evening.
