European Audiovisual Observatory to Hold Workshop at Moscow Film Fair

The European Audiovisual Observatory is holding its annual Moscow workshop during this year’s Moscow Film Fair.

This year, they’re presenting the latest report on the film industry in the Russian Federation. This free public workshop is organized by the observatory, with Russian partner Nevafilm, authors of this brand new report.

As every year, the observatory has invited key speakers to look at the current context of the Russian film industry and to give a valuable market and legal overview of the European film industry as a whole.

The workshop will be opened by Vladimir Grigoriev, deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for press and mass communications and representative of the Russian Federation in the executive council of the observatory.

The new report The Film Industry in the Russian Federation, will be presented by Oleg Berezin and Xenia Leontyeva of Nevafilm, Aleksander Luzhin of Movie Research (Univers-Consulting), and Ekaterina Makarevich of iKS-Consulting. 

Recent trends of the European film market will be presented by Dr. André Lange, head of the observatory’s department for information on markets and financing.

Legal obligations for distributors and providers of on-demand audiovisual services to contribute to production will be analyzed by Maja Cappello, head of the observatory’s department for legal information.
