Unilumin’s LED UC-A42 cinema screen has been certified by the Digital Cinema Initiative at Japan’s Keio University DMC Laboratory. The 14-meter screen is the Chinese manufacturer’s third product to be certified by DCI.
The previous two LED cinema screens were the Unilumin UC-A41and UC-A21.
The Unilumin UC-A42 4K LED cinema screen has high brightness, high grayscale, color consistency and contrast performance, and can realize 2D@96 frames/3D@48 high frame rate movie playback.
Unilumin has selected Macroblock’s MBI5850 as its display driver. The MBI5850 features 16-bit grayscale with smooth low grayscale performance, and a 3,840Hz visual refresh rate that the company says is designed for high-resolution LED displays.
The Unilumin LED cinema screen was jointly developed by China Research Institute of Film Science and Technology, China Film Company, and Unilumin Group. Unilumin’s LED screens, UC-A41 and UC-A21, have been installed in The China Film Cinema Bei'ao, Beijing.
