Barco will provide three digital cinema projectors to the International Film Festival of Kerala, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Every year, several national and international movies are screened at the festival for the very first time. The competition section is limited to 14 selected films, produced in Asian, African or Latin-American countries.
Over the past few years, the film industry in India has been continuously growing and developing. This challenges the Kerala Film Festival to improve again and again by carefully selecting the right partners. This year, Barco provides the Film Festival with three top-of-the-line digital cinema projectors. The DP2K-23B projector combines media server functionalities with series 3 cinema processing electronics. For 3D movies Barco is also providing the DP2K-32B 3D projector.
Barco’s deployment partner Real Image is installing and maintaining the projection systems for the festival.
