Digital distribution company Alchimie is extending its partnership with Unified Streaming. Alchimie, headquartered just outside Paris, advises rights owners who are dealing with companies such as Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, and Orange to name a few. Unified Streaming has worked with Alchimie since 2015. By installing their web-server plug-in Unified Origin, Alchimie says it has been able to offer stable, scalable live and on-demand streaming to all its partners, who, in turn, can unfailingly satisfy their customers as the final users.

“For the last two years, Unified Origin has been providing our all-in-one solution for streaming Apple HTTP Live Streaming, Microsoft Smooth Streaming and MPEG-DASH as well as featuring content protection with inbuilt support for DRM PlayReady, Widevine and FairPlay. This experience fully convinced us that Unified Origin is the software for Alchimie,” says Alchimie CTO David Amiot. “It was an obvious choice to continue collaboration with Unified Streaming for the coming years.”

“The Unified approach to content delivery with efficient repurposing of video gives Alchimie a competitive edge that is as much relevant today as it will be in the future. We are proud to team with them,” says Simon Westbroek, Unified Streaming’s vice president of global sales.
