Arts Alliance Media version 2.3 of its Theatre Management System software Screenwriter has been certified as compatible with Weischer Media’s digital cinema advertising system Cinema Reloaded, when interfaced with the required OneDCN preshow system.

Cinema Reloaded is an evolving product from Weischer Media that is prevalent across Germany and Switzerland and offers ever more intelligent and effective cinema advertising. It aims to rival the sophistication of digital online adverting while maintaining the classic qualities of cinema.

Screenwriter supports Cinema Reloaded by receiving ad feeds directly from the required OneDCN system, and automatically inserting the content directly into the relevant playlists on the right screens. Managing this electronic delivery of ad content means that playlists can be built faster and more accurately, saving time and minimising errors for the cinema. The automated process also benefits advertisers by reducing the time it takes to get ad content onto screens.

“The demands of Cinema Reloaded are met perfectly by the functionality of Screenwriter in order to provide a seamless service for exhibitors’ advertising,” said Eric Stevens, commercial director of Arts Alliance Media. “The data provided by Screenwriter allows advertising to be delivered and inserted automatically into the playlist, and ensures that all system data that is sent back to Cinema Reloaded is correct and up to date, meaning fewer errors. The Cinema Reloaded initiative is good news for exhibitors across Germany and Switzerland and we’re very happy to support it. This certification is yet another sign of the strong role AAM software plays in the marketplace.”

“We’re delighted to announce version 2.3 of Screenwriter is amongst the first TMSs to be fully certified as Cinema Reloaded ready. This will position cinemas optimally for the digital advertising future that meets the needs of the advertising industry: more flexibility, transparency and accuracy,” said Stefan Kuhlow, chief digital officer of Weischer Media. “So far, Cinema Reloaded has been a very welcome innovation by our exhibitor partners and it has brought cinema advertising in Germany and Switzerland back to its old strength. We are dedicated towards its future development and potential applicability to the wider markets.”

Says Dr. Marlon Teichfuss, managing director of Weischer Media’s development partner Cinedavis which is responsible for the OneDCN pre-show technology network and interfaces, "Because of Cinedavis's long period of cooperation with Arts Alliance Media and the OneDCN PreShow Interface and corresponding practical experiences I can say today, version 2.3 of Screenwriter is Cinema Reloaded ready."

Arts Alliance Media’s Screenwriter software is currently installed on around 20,000 screens worldwide, and provides the means to manage all content, KDMs, and scheduling functionality across all screens in a complex from one central point, which can be anywhere internet enabled.
