Arts Alliance Media has released new features and integrations to widely used theatre management system Screenwriter. The latest version provides AAM’s exhibitor customers with advanced automation options and support for the newest projectors and technology in digital cinema.

Grand Cinema Sunshine is the first cinema owned by Sasaki Kogyo to deploy GDC’s Cinema Automation 2.0 and SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block with CineCache. The system is designed to fully automate workflow in a cinema multiplex while offering movie-goers much more content with an advanced central media server capable of storing, managing and streaming thousands of movies.
QSC has announced a plug-in for the Q-SYS Ecosystem that allows users to discover and control any JNIOR models 410, 412, or 414 automation controller, manufactured by the INTEG Process Group.
Christie has reached a worldwide reseller agreement to offer Arts Alliance Media’s full range of integrated theater management software and services to its wide-reaching exhibitor base, and further strengthen Christie’s position as the pre-eminent cinema solutions and expertise provider. The agreement excludes Japan.
Unique X has added South Africa to its Movie Transit DCP delivery network. In other news, Vue Entertainment has chosen the Unique X Movie Transit DCP content delivery solution in all of its 91 cinemas, a total of 870 screens, throughout the UK and Ireland.
Arts Alliance Media's theatre management system Screenwriter is now integrated and ready to use with Barco’s new Series 4 portfolio from Cinionic. Cinionic introduced the first four projector models of Barco’s new Series 4 portfolio at CinemaCon 2019.
Golden Apple Cinema in Czech Republic is the first cinema in Europe to fully automate its workflow with GDC’s Cinema Automation 2.0 theatre management system and SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block with CineCache.
GDC Technology today launched TmsAware, a new cloud based solution powered by Amazon Web Service serverless architecture. The most recent development of cloud computing, which caters to web applications, was initially used for cost savings and efficiency. But the cloud has turned into an innovation powerhouse. GDC developed TmsAware to have a significant effect on the cinema’s operation process.
GDC Technology has introduced the SR-5400 and the SR-6400 series media servers with Flexible Architecture Stable Technology (FAST) for 4K high frame rate movies and 4K 3D. The SR-5400 is compatible with new DLP Cinema projectors that are capable of playing DCP content in 4K 3D and 4K@60fps. The SR-6400C has all the key features and benefits of the SR-5400 and further enhances its capabilities to include ground breaking 4K@120fps playback. It is compatible with the new Christie projector featuring RealLaser illumination and CineLife+.
GDC Technology will be Cinemex’s exclusive provider of digital cinema servers for the calendar year 2019. Cinemex is Mexico’s second largest theatre circuit and operates 2,936 screens at 340 sites in 99 cities such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Toluca, Juarez, Leon, Tijuana, Mexicali, Puebla and other Mexican cities. The agreement involves the deployment of the GDC SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block at all of Cinemex’s new construction projects in Mexico.
