Christie Chosen as BAFTA’s Technology Partner

Christie has been chosen by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts as a technology partner for its redeveloped headquarters at 195 Piccadilly in London. The partnership will see a host of Christie integrated technology installed throughout the building, including Christie MicroTiles LED tiles, four laser projectors, media servers and software.

Ceylon Theatres Get Sound Makeover

Ceylon Theatres is a Sri Lankan theatre chain with an 85-year history that currently operates six locations throughout the country. The latest location is a three-screen facility in Dematagoda, which also houses a KFC restaurant and Food City supermarket. In order to ensure an immersive cinematic experience with clear and balanced audio quality for moviegoers, Ceylon Theatres Regal Cinema Dematagoda required new sound systems for all three screens.

Aquarium Theatre Gets Laser Projection Upgrade

Located in Long Beach, California, the nonprofit Aquarium of the Pacific is Southern California’s largest aquarium and the fourth largest aquarium in the United States. The aquarium includes 12,000 animals and more than 100 exhibits that celebrate the inhabitants and ecosystems of the Pacific Ocean. In 2019, the aquarium opened Pacific Visions, a 29,000 square foot, two-story expansion that includes an art gallery, orientation gallery, culmination gallery, and the Honda Pacific Visions Theatre, the centerpiece of the aquarium’s 2019 expansion.

Power Station Embraces IP-Cross Connect

As the industry continues to transition towards IP-based solutions, many integrators have found themselves limited by budget-related restrictions. Diversified, a global technology solutions provider, recently ran into this challenge when it came to a project at BerkleeNYC, a campus-based recording studio formerly known as Avatar Studios. In the process of building a cost-effective IP network for the school’s renowned Power Station recording studio, Diversified turned to TSL Products to provide an IP routing interface that marries TSL’s virtual control processor, the GTP-V1, and its renowned Virtual Panels into a solution that TSL has coined, IP-Cross Connect.
