Harkness Expands in the U.S.

Harkness Screens is opening a new manufacturing facility in the USA. The state-of-the-art facility based in Roanoke, Virginia will replace the existing plant, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and will commence manufacturing of Harkness’ leading screen technologies this fall. Meanwhile, the company will retain a presence in Fredericksburg with the opening of a new commercial and administration office.

Evans & Sutherland Introduces AEOS Theatres

Evans & Sutherland has introduced AEOS Theaters, an alliance between E&S, Spitz, and Sonics2. The companies have joined forces to create a new generation of giant screen cinema experiences for immersive domes and giant flat screen theaters. Using a blended array of laser or lamp-based projectors, the companies say that AEOS allows domes or flat screen theaters to achieve resolutions of 8K or even higher while maintaining their fulldome, partial dome, or 4:3 aspect ratio flat screens. An AEOS theater can also function as a multipurpose venue with available turnkey presentation and digital marketing packages.

Kingsman Releasing in ScreenX

ScreenX, the world’s first multi-projection system that provides a 270-degree panoramic film viewing experience within a theatre setting, has announced that Twentieth Century Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be available in the immersive format. In addition to opening in ScreenX, the film will be made available for bookings on nearly 400 4DX screens in 49 countries around the world.

Harklets Return to CineEurope 2017

Harkness Screens has announced the forthcoming release of its animated sequel starring its storytelling characters, the Harklets. Designed to help educate and inform the movie industry in a simple and fun way, the Harklets return at CineEurope 2017 in their second animated adventure tackling a dirty screen in need or urgent attention.
