Sony Pictures' Ghostbusters: Afterlife is screening in CJ 4DPlex’s immersive 270-degree panoramic format ScreenX. The film opens today in the United States and continues its global theatrical release this week.

IMAX and Strong/MDI Screen Systems have partnered to build a record breaking-screen at the Traumpalast Multiplex in Leonberg, Germany. Covering a 574-seat IMAX auditorium, the Strong/MDI screen is an impressive 69 feet high and 125 feet wide and weighs more than 500 pounds, another IMAX record. It was manufactured in Joliette, Canada and coated on site by Strong/MDI professionals due to its massive measurements.
The Harkness Clarus XC will be the screen of choice for 2D and 3D theatrical presentations during Cine Europe 2021. The show’s auditorium inside the Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona in Spain will feature a 26.35-meter by 7.5-meter Clarus XC 170 screen.

Strong/MDI Screen Systems has appointed Dennis Pacelli national cinema sales manager for the United States, effective immediately. Pacelli brings decades of experience in global sales and business development to his new role where he will lead sales initiatives and drive new client acquisitions in the region. He will also provide strategic insight to guide business growth.

Severtson Screens, in conjunction with CES+, has provided 11 SeVision 3D GX-WA standard perforation screens for Ecuador’s new Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil.
Earlier this year, the Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador became the only cinema project to be started and developed in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theatre has 11 auditoriums, including a 4D Emotion + 3D screen and a premium large format screen called MCX – Multicines Xtreme. CES+ was the integrator on the project.
