Erika W. Burton has joined Digital Domain as executive vice president/general manager. Burton joins the team working on long-term company goals and new initiatives, with her primary focus on production, sales and marketing. She will report to O.D Welch, president, Digital Domain.
The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers has hired Howard Lukk as the Society's new director of standards. Over the coming 12 months, Lukk will transition into the position that has been held by Peter Symes for the past eight years. Symes will retire at the end of 2016.

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers has elected its new officers and governors for the 2016-2017 term. The Event Cinema Association has announced the appointment of four new ECA members to its board of directors. Vanessa Hills, head of marketing at UK distributor More2Screen and Janelle Mason, director and producer at production company and distributor CinemaLive, have been appointed as board directors, and Fabrice Testa, head of international business development for Kencast stepped down from his role at DSAT Cinema to be replaced by Manel Carreras, senior vice president, marketing and content business development services at Ymagis, was voted back onto the board in his new role as head of business development at U.S. technical provider Kencast.
Cinegy has appointed Marina Ablogina strategic alliance manager. Ablogina will be responsible for managing Cinegy’s strategic partnership programs with third-party hardware and software manufactures. She will also work with key accounts and sales partners on marketing programs, and serve as Cinegy’s liaison with industry trade associations.
Post-production veteran Matt Breitenbach has joined Post Factory NY, a Sim Group company, as director of digital conform. In his new role, he will oversee the finishing process for feature films. Breitenbach arrives from Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, New York, where he was senior digital intermediates editor. His credits there included The Wolf of Wall Street, Rosewater, Run All Night, Kill the Messenger and the hit CBS crime drama Blue Bloods.
David Haddad has been promoted to president, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment it was announced today by Diane Nelson, president of DC Entertainment, president and chief content officer, WBIE, and president, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and Ron Sanders, president, Warner Bros. Worldwide Home Entertainment Distribution. Haddad will continue to report to both Nelson and Sanders.
Tattersall Sound and Picture, a Sim Group company, has signed an exclusive contract with veteran Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Supervisor Matthew Chan. Chan brings a deep and diverse resume encompassing features, episodic television and documentaries.
