The Los Angeles Film School, a private media arts college located in the heart of Hollywood, and make.tv have forged a strategic partnership to launch an online marketplace that connects the school’s students with brands and professional broadcasters looking to leverage the new technology. The launch of the Hire a Producer feature with certified student producers from The Los Angeles Film School will serve as the base for the growing marketplace to connect creators and buyers.

SMPTE Calls for Student Papers, Louis F. Wolf Jr. Memorial Scholarship Applications

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers has issued a call for papers for the SMPTE Student Paper Award. The Society is also accepting applications for the Louis F. Wolf Jr. Memorial Scholarship, which is designed to help students further their undergraduate studies in motion pictures and television, with an emphasis on technology.

Kodak Accepting Submissions for 2015 Scholarship Program

As part of Kodak’s ongoing commitment to the next generation of filmmakers, the company has issued its annual call for entries in the 2015 KODAK Scholarship Program. This international program is designed to encourage and foster new talent by honoring student filmmakers who demonstrate exemplary filmmaking skills and creativity at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Three Student Scholarship Awards and two Student Cinematography Scholarship Awards will be granted. The deadline for submissions is May 15.
