Maya Cinemas is installing Cinionic Giant Screens in all its Maya Premiere Experience auditoriums. The first three MPX powered by CGS locations, Maya Cinemas Fresno, Bakersfield, and North Las Vegas, will be ready to welcome Maya audiences in time for Thanksgiving. All the screens are more than sixty feet wide.
Toho Cinemas has selected Cinionic laser cinema projection for its new Tachikawa location, which opened in September. The theatre is the first Cinionic laser site for Toho Cinemas, one of Japan’s largest exhibitors with more than 679 screens across 72 locations and will include Barco Series 4 and Barco Smart laser units.

Following Cinionic’s recent expansion of its laser portfolio, the vendor-financed program allows theatres to move to laser for significantly less today and pay the rest over time.

Muvi Cinemas is celebrating the inauguration of its 103rd screen in Saudi Arabia this month with the opening of its new theatre in the Mall of Dhahran. Roxy Cinemas chose NEC 4K RB laser projection systems to equip its new boutique multiplex at Al Khawaneej in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which is finally opening after a series of delays caused by COVID-19. This is the first fully equipped multiplex using NEC projectors in the Middle East, making it an important step for the manufacturer into the regions’ cinema market.
Suning Cinema in Xi’an, China has installed Christie RGB laser cinema projectors in all of the auditoriums in its new multiplex. Located on the fifth floor of Zhengshang Financial Plaza in the city’s bustling Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xi’an Zhengshang Suning Cinema is the exhibitor’s first multiplex to be fully equipped with Christie RGB laser cinema projectors.
