Interoperable Master Format

WCPMedia Services has joined the Digital Production Partnership. In joining the media industry’s business change network, WCPMedia is lending its support to the DPP’s mission to encourage the development of a fully digital, global and internet-enabled supply chain for broadcast media.

IRT has released its first IMF Analyzer 1.0 for quality control and management in the file-based production process. The Interoperable Master Format is the new standard by SMPTE for storing, exchanging and delivering A/V productions. IMF defines a package, which contains, among other, different MXF files for audio, video, subtitle and metadata.

Colorfront has launched Transkoder 2016 on Mac. The new, 4K-capable system harnesses the same advanced feature sets as the company’s PC-based version and broadens the product’s appeal as an HDR mastering solution for boutique post houses and content service facilities.

Japanese video production service company Assist Corporation is one of the first in the world to install Iris 2.0 from GrayMeta. Reona Kobayashi, Assist’s director of engineering said, “Technology in the Japanese television and film industries moves quickly, and upgrading to Iris 2.0 is keeping us ahead of the trends.”
