CJ CGV, operator of 2,821 screens at 368 locations in seven countries, has named Paul Richardson as the first chief operating officer of CJ CGV Americas. The move comes as the company looks to increase its presence in the U.S. marketplace.
Screenvision Media has signed long-term agreements totaling 1,790 screens across 170 theatres with eleven key exhibitors: National Amusements, Premiere Cinemas, Studio Movie Grill, Frank Theatres, Cinépolis, Classic Cinemas, Emagine Entertainment, Zyacorp Entertainment’s Cinemagic Stadium Theatres, Zurich Cinemas, CineLux Theatres and Cinema Café.

Its introduction serves as the sixth theatre to join Cinépolis USA’s existing portfolio of dedicated luxury cinemas located in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, California.
Wanda Cinema Line has opened its tenth Dolby Cinema location in China opened at its Beijing Fengtai Wanda Square site. Wanda’s Legendary Pictures’ The Great Wall is the first movie shown at the new theatre. The movie set a record high Dolby Cinema box office total in the market.

CinemaNext has signed an agreement with Empire Cinemas, the UK’s leading independently owned cinema chain, to oversee projection and audio installations, field services and technical customer support.
