The Hadza: Last of The First chronicles the lives of the Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania, possibly the last true hunter-gatherer group on the planet. The film, to be released digitally by Journeyman Pictures starting today, is directed and produced by Bill Benenson. The Hadza: Last of the First was shown at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and is produced in association with The Nature Conservancy, one of the most highly regarded non-profits in the world.

Arclight Films, Huace Group Create Aurora Alliance Films

Zhao Yifang, president of China’s leading entertainment conglomerate, Huace Group and Gary Hamilton, managing director of Arclight Films, in Los Angeles have signed a comprehensive strategic alliance that draws the blueprint for a, multi-faceted $300 million feature film collaboration. The partnership plans to deliver no less than three films per year through Aurora Alliance Films, a newly created joint production company by Huace Group and Arclight Films.

Avanti, Motion Picture Solutions Sign Digital Cinema Distribution Deal

Avanti Communications, a leading provider of satellite data communications services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has signed a multi-year cinema distribution contract with Motion Picture Solutions, an international film services company, based in London. Funimation Announces Dragon Ball Z Home Video Release Date

Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition to Surpass 32,000 Screens by 2018

Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition (DCDC), the North American theatrical content distribution organization founded by Warner Bros. Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Regal Entertainment Group, Cinemark Theatres and AMC Theatres, says it’s accelerating the rollout of its network and will surpass 32,000 screens in more than 3000 theatre locations in 2018.

Galaxy Pop Signs with The Gotham Group

Australian film and television production company Galaxy Pop will open new offices in Los Angeles this November and has signed with Los Angeles-based entertainment management firm The Gotham Group for representation. The Melbourne based kids, teen and young-adult focused prod company is led by the writing, producing, directing team Gian Christian and Dina McPherson, has sold content to over 120 territories worldwide.
