AMC Theatres today signed a binding letter of intent to install IMAX’s new laser experience for commercial multiplexes in 87 of the exhibitor’s highest-performing IMAX at AMC locations across the U.S. The announcement coincides with the launch of IMAX with Laser.
GDC Technology announced today that cinema owners around the world are quickly adopting its innovative SX-4000 immersive sound media server with a built-in DTS:X decoder, and the XSP-1000 cinema processor immersive sound system. To date, the system has been installed, or committed to installing, in more than 850 screens.
