William Chan has joined QSC as senior director, North Asia, reporting to Markus Winkler, senior vice president Asia and EMEA. In this newly created role, Chan is responsible for sales and business operations in the North Asia region, including a focus on driving new revenue growth in Greater China and Japan for QSC’s live sound, cinema, and systems portfolios.
The Middle East and North Africa Cinema Forum, the region’s only cinema convention, held last week in Dubai, concluded with an awards ceremony, recognizing industry leaders in the MENA region. Executives from cinema chains, major studios, film distributors and their global partners attended the red-carpet affair. Sony Pictures will release more films for 2019-2020 in MediaMation’s immersive cinema MX4D format. The format was programmed for nine Sony Pictures releases this calendar year, starting with Escape Room, through the blockbuster, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
