Sullurpet, a small town in Andhra Pradesh, around 80 kilometers from Chennai, is now home to South Asia’s largest movie theatre screen, the 100-foot wide by 54-foot high Epiq. Chennai-based Qube cinemas unveiled the first of its kind premium large format screen last month. Qube Cinemas is one of India’s foremost providers of end-to-end digital cinema technology and solutions.
B&B Theatres, the sixth largest theatre chain in North America, is adding five additional CJ 4DPlex ScreenX auditoriums across the U.S., for a total of seven by 2020. Studio Movie Grill will open a flagship theater in Glendale, California by the end of the year. The in-theatre dining chain will now serve seven communities across California, including Monrovia, Simi Valley, Downey, Redlands, Rocklin and Bakersfield. Pictures, announced today the release of New Line Cinema’s IT Chapter Two in three immersive cinema technologies: the multi-sensory 4DX format, the heightened 4DX Extreme (available in select theaters and territories) and the panoramic, 270-degree ScreenX. When the film is released globally on September 6 audiences worldwide will be able to take in the highly anticipated horror franchise finale in the auditoriums of 4DX and ScreenX.
