Éclair Announces Theatrical Delivery Agreement with Diagonal for Switzerland

Éclair today announced a theatrical delivery agreement with Zurich-based Diagonal to offer service solutions to film studios, distributors and cinema exhibitors. The three-year contract is effective immediately and covers Diagonal’s home base in Switzerland and Éclair's key markets, including France, Benelux, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and UK.

Ymagis Group Completes OpenSky Acquisition

Ymagis Group today announced the conclusion of its acquisition of OpenSky’s theatrical content delivery activities dedicated to cinema exhibition, OpenSky Cinema, in accordance with the agreement signed November 30, 2016. All related business assets have been incorporated into a new entity named Open Sky Cinema SRL (Vicenza), which oversees the Ymagis Group’s portfolio of content services activities in Italy.

Qube Cinema Introduces Qube Wire

Qube Cinema has introduced Qube Wire, an online digital cinema distribution service designed to eliminate the process of physical digital cinema package transportation. Targeted at the international filmmaking community, Qube Wire offers users a secure, patent-pending service to issue key delivery messages and digitally transport DCPs to theatres globally, having completed a highly successful beta-testing phase in India this year. Now in its initial launch, the service offers a simple and secure online way of issuing KDMs to cinemas worldwide. This will be followed by a commercial launch in early 2017 that will enable the global distribution of DCPs with a unique approach to last-mile delivery.

Roundabout Restores Zeffirelli’s Romeo & Juliet

Roundabout Entertainment recently collaborated with Paramount Pictures and Park Circus on a luminous, 4K-restoration of Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 classic Romeo and Juliet. The restored film is currently enjoying a new theatrical run as part of Shakespeare Lives, a worldwide program of special events commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Bard’s death. The project was made possible through funding from the British Council and the British Film Institute.

Unique Digital’s Support for UN Project Everyone Continues

The new advertising will launch in cinemas on the July 22 and will call on people to share #WhatIReallyReallyWant on social media, igniting a campaign to encourage mass public support for the rights of girls and women worldwide.
