CJ 4DPlex has announced that Illumination, Nintendo, and Universal Pictures’ The Super Mario Bros. Movie has become the highest grossing animation film ever released in 4DX, both domestically and in Europe. To date, domestically, the film has grossed more than $6.3 million on 58 4DX premium theaters, bolstering a per screen average of $108,000.

National Amusements Moves to Laser in Partnership with Cinionic
Cinionic has announced a five-year preferred partnership with National Amusements to bring Laser Projection by Cinionic to the circuit’s theatres around the world. Cinionic will renew the chain’s fleet of projection technology, gradually replacing legacy xenon equipment with Barco laser systems and integrated Barco Alchemy ICMP media servers.
