Kaleidescape Expands Effort to Offer Content to Exhibitors

Kaleidescape, manufacturer of high-end technology for upscale home theatres, is expanding on its plan to offer the content in its library to professional cinemas. In July, it and Mercury Studios, one of the leading creators, producers and distributors of music related content worldwide, announced a collaboration to bring the biggest names in music to the cinema. Now Kaleidescape wants to sell its hardware to theatre owners, prep and supply the encrypted content.

Pathé Palace Installs Six Samsung Onyx LED Cinema Screens

Samsung Electronics today announced that six Samsung Onyx cinema LED displays have been successfully installed at the Pathé Palace theatre in Paris, France. Together with The Wall, an 8K screen installed in the lobby and Smart Signage around the cinema, Samsung displays will raise the bar on the entire moviegoing experience.

Celebration Cinema Installs GDC TMS-2000 Across Chain

Celebration Cinema has selected a GDC TMS-2000 theatre management system to replace its legacy system at all 11 sites with 146 screens. After successfully testing at two locations, the popular Michigan-based circuit chose TMS-2000 for the entire circuit. The deployment of TMS-2000 will be managed by Entertainment Supply & Technologies over the next 12 months.
