The family entertainment company FatCats has opened a new theatre in Queen Creek, Arizona. The cinema has eight auditoriums and is the company’s ninth location. This newest FatCats had its grand opening April 16.
Besides its eight theatres with luxury all-reclining seats featuring first-run films, the 61,000 square-foot FatCats’ Queen Creek, Arizona location also includes a 20-lane BPAA league-certified state-of-the-art bowling center that is transformed in the evening into Thunder Alley, a high energy bowl-for-fun experience complete with a live DJ and game host. The location also includes a mini glow-in-the-dark golf course, a huge 50-game arcade and redemption store with the latest and most popular games and prizes for kids and adults, a delicious, high-quality new menu with food delivered to one’s seat or lane, virtual reality bays and VR games/rides, and a full-service bar.
Working with RU Theatre and Southern California Cinetech Services, the Queen Creek location’s installation consists of seven Severtson Stellar White cinema screens ranging from 16 feet by 30 feet to 29 feet by 53 feet and one silver 24-foot by 44-foot SeVision 3D GX cinema screen.
“We ship our screens internationally for renowned world-class cinemas, as well as for local installations literally down the street from our headquarters and production facilities here in Arizona,” said Toby Severtson, CEO of Severtson Screens. “Besides supplying eight cinema screens for its latest location near us in Queen Creek, we also supplied FatCats with eight cinema screens in their Mesa, Arizona location and six cinema screens in their Gilbert, Arizona location just a few years ago. FatCats is a terrific environment for the entire family, and we are proud to continue to help our local economy and customer base by being a part of such great venues.”
“In our state-of-the-art Queen Creek FatCats, we have once again gone with Severtson Screens because we value the unmatched quality and longevity of the screens Severtson produces,” said David Benson, development partner, FatCats Entertainment. “FatCats chose to expand to the town of Queen Creek because it is a great community that complements our FatCats values, not to mention the perfect spot for year-round fun. The City of Queen Creek is growing quickly and FatCats wants to be a part of something truly special.”
“RU Theatre was happy to learn we would be installing high gain cinema screens made by Severtson Screens at FatCats’ newest location in Queen Creek, Arizona,” said Colin Hendrickson, owner, RU Theatre. “FatCats commitment to delivering a dynamic entertainment venue to its customers is made that much better by using the best screen, projection, and sound offered in its theatres. We work with Severtson internationally, so getting a chance to see them work as a local manufacturer was a great experience. This project was staged perfectly because of all the things we have come to expect when working with Severtson Screens: great communication, quick delivery, and quality customer service.”
Added Michael Golin, CEO of Chatsworth, California-based Southern California Cinetech Services, “We’ve worked with Severtson for many years, and they are the ideal company to supply cinema screens for FatCats. Besides being local to FatCats’ Arizona locations, Severtson prides themselves on being the most customer service-oriented manufacturer in the industry while providing state-of-the-art screens for nearly any and every application on an international scale. Working with Severtson is stress free and our customers are always thrilled with the end result.”
