The Motion Picture Sound Editors association hosted a special in-person reception for winners in the 69th Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards on March 26th at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. Sound Editors honored for their work in feature films, long-form and short-form television, animation and documentaries were presented with gold GRA statuettes and joined with colleagues in celebrating their shared craft.
Jeffrey Forman, senior vice president of international sales, Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution will receive this year’s Passepartout Award. Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of CinemaCon made the announcement.
CinemaCon, the official convention of NATO, will be held April 25-28, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Teperberg will be presented with this honor at the International Day Luncheon taking place on Monday, April 25.

Greig Fraser, ASC, ACS won the feature film award for Dune: Part One at the 36th American Society of Cinematographers Outstanding Achievement Awards. The event also celebrated Pat Scola for Pig in the Spotlight Award category, and Jessica Beshir for the documentary Faya Dayi.
Pamela Martin, ACE, was named the winner of the American Cinema Editors' Best Edited Dramatic Feature award for her work on King Richard. She is also nominated for an Academy Award in the same category. Martin was previously nominated for her work on The Fight (2010) and Little Miss Sunshine (2006).
The Motion Picture Sound Editors will draw on the most accomplished sound artists of its past in celebrating the best in sound editing of the present at the 69th Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards. Five past recipients of the MPSE’s Career Achievement Award will serve as presenters during the Golden Reel Awards ceremony to be held as a fully virtual event on Sunday, March 13th.
The Society of Camera Operators has announced that the recipients of Camera Operator of the Year in Film are Mitch Dubin, SOC, and B Camera John “Buzz” Moyer, SOC (West Side Story). The recipients of Camera Operator of the Year in Television are Manolo Rojas, SOC, and B Camera Pauline Edwards, SOC (Snowfall, Season 4, Episode 8, Betrayal). The award recipients were celebrated by industry peers and colleagues during a virtual awards ceremony on Saturday, March 5.
The Society of Camera Operators announced today that producer, director, and actor Danny DeVito is this year’s Governors Award winner. The award acknowledges Devito for his impressive body of work, collaborations, and his commitment to critical social causes within the entertainment industry.
