Screenvision Research Says Cinema Advertising Tops All Other Outlets

Screenvision Media held its annual Upfront presentation Wednesday night and announced new breakthrough research, which proved cinema is the number one video platform for attention with 75 percent active attention to ads and 100 percent viewability. That is two-six times higher than TV, CTV, Social and Digital.

National CineMedia, the U.S. representative to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, has announced the winners of the 2023 U.S. Young Lions competition. More than 280 entries were submitted this year by creative rising stars working across the advertising, digital, media, creative and PR industries, a 16 percent increase of Young Lions entrants to the competition compared to last year.

Marcus Theatres Extends Relationship with Screenvision

Marcus Theatres, the fourth largest exhibitor in the U.S., has extended its longstanding relationship with Screenvision. The company operates 65 theatres and 864 screens within Screenvision's network, including 13 theatres with 168 screens in Milwaukee, 8 theatres with 121 screens in St. Louis and 6 theatres with 100 screens in Chicago.

Digital Out of Home Advertising Rose 24 Percent in 2022

Out of home advertising revenue increased 20.7 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year, accounting for $8.6 billion, according to a new report from the Out of Home Advertising Association of America. A key driver for the year, the digital out of home segment, which includes cinema advertising, jumped 24.2 percent compared to 2021, according to the OAAA data.
