Spotlight, Cinépolis Extend Long-Term Partnership

Spotlight Cinema Networks and Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas today announced an extension of their long-term partnership which includes adding 47 more Cinépolis screens to Spotlight's national theatre network. As of April 1, 2024, Spotlight will represent all of the Cinépolis U.S. luxury locations, inclusive of five Moviehouse & Eatery theatres located across Dallas and Austin, Texas.

National CineMedia Announces the 2024 US Young Lions Winners

National CineMedia, the US representative to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, has announced the winners of the 2024 US Young Lions competition. More than 500 teams of young professionals across the advertising, digital, media, creative and public relations industries registered for the competition this year, up 20 percent year over year. There were 333 official competition entries, an increase of 17 percent compared to last year. The five winning teams were named and honored by NCM at the Team USA Winners Announcement event, hosted by Initiative, with all 25 finalist teams in attendance.

UN, SAWA Launch New Global Warning Awareness Campaign

The UN Development Program and SAWA Global Cinema Advertising Association today launched a one-week international cinema advertising campaign across 11 countries, including all Pearl & Dean cinemas in the UK and Ireland. Global cinema audiences will be surprised to see – a special forecast for the year 2050. While the weather format is familiar, the forecasts – anchored by children – are not.
