Killer Tracks is expanding and broadening the scope of its groundbreaking Artist Series with a focus on emerging talent. The company is releasing a number of new tracks from breakout artists, including work from Portland alt rockers Rare Monk and the L.A.-based quartet Misun.

When planning the post-production phase for her film Movie Night, Anne McCarthy turned to Burbank-based AlphaDogs, having worked with them previously. “I now use AlphaDogs exclusively after they were able to fix a problem I had on a past project in just 24 hours. I knew my film would be in good hands and would not have risked taking it anywhere else,” said McCarthy.

The Academy Award-winning Sony Pictures Imageworks crafted over 1000 visual effects shots, Sony Pictures Post Production provided sound – its first project in in Dolby Atmos – and Colorworks performed film scanning, conforming and color grading all in 4K.
Light Illusion has announced the full integration of its LightSpace CMS (color management system) with the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor range, models PRM4200 and PRM4220. With this full integration, users can now perform fully automated profiling and calibration of the Dolby monitor range.

When it came time for Rob Roy Cesar to post his new romantic comedy Pacoima Can Wait he realized there were problems with the audio. Uncertain there was anything that could be done to make the audio sound better, Cesar brought his film to AlphaDogs in Burbank upon the recommendation of a fellow film composer.
The Motion Picture Sound Editors has announced the results of the 2013 election of its Board of Directors. Elected to two-year terms in Executive Seats are Frank Morrone as President, Christopher Reeves as Secretary, and Ruth Adelman as Sargent at Arms. Morrone and Reeves are incumbents. They join continuing officers Mark Lanza (Vice President) and Paul Rodriguez (Treasurer).
LipSync Post provided grading, online editing, sound, VFX and titles for BBC One’s three-part drama Death Comes To Pemberley, based on P.D. James’ acclaimed sequel to the Jane Austen classic Pride and Prejudice. The dramas, produced by Origin Pictures for BBC One, are scheduled for broadcast on December 26-28.
