New York Women in Film & Television has partnered with Go IndieTV and iWomanTV to showcase the work of its talented membership through the Fourth Annual NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival. Members are invited to submit their short or mid-length films, TV pilots, and webisodes for consideration.

DPA Microphones and Rycote have joined forces to support the film industry during these unprecedented times. The brands are launching a pay-it-forward campaign for first-time and independent filmmakers who will have the opportunity to win a customized DPA/Rycote filming kit. Among the film experts helping to support the giveaway by judging for this effort are Tim White, Bryan “Sol” Aponte, Antoin Cox and Stéphane Bucher.

The Abu Dhabi Film Commission, the Israel Film Fund and the Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film &Television School have reached an overarching agreement centered on goodwill and bilateral cooperation in the fields of film and television. Under the new agreement, the film commissions will create an intercultural cooperation, creating content with the goal of promoting tolerance, education and developing a deeper cultural understanding between the Emirati and Israeli people.

The Hip Hop Film Festival kicked off its fifth season August 6-9 with four days of film screenings, Master Cyphers, the Boss Pitch competition, and more. Thousands of filmmakers, movie lovers, and culture enthusiasts from all over the world gathered together for a series of live events and film screenings. The Hip Hop Film Festival continues through the month as filmmakers host special private watch parties.
