Amy Tunick has joined National CineMedia in the newly created role of senior vice president, chief marketing officer to lead its integrated marketing team. The Digital Entertainment Group has named Poppy Crum, chief scientist at Dolby Laboratories, the 2021 recipient of the Hedy Lamarr Award for Innovation in Entertainment Technology. The Hip Hop Film Festival its month-long run with a week jam packed with celebrity events and cyphers. BET’s Big Fifty screening will close out this year’s festival on September 2, at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Brooklyn. Directed by media personality, writer, and film director Russ Parr, Big Fifty tells the unbelievable true story of bigger-than-life Delrhonda Big Fifty Hood, who went from street thug to respected gangsta to finding redemption.
