IBCAP Member Wins Major Court Victory over Content Thieves

The International Broadcaster Coalition Against Piracy is continuing a coordinated attack on copyright pirates in North America, ensuring that unauthorized services and retailers are held responsible through massive judgments and that their platforms are shut down. Representing more than 140 television channels from Europe, Brazil, the Middle East and South Asia, IBCAP, along with technical services provided by Nagra, is proactively monitoring and identifying unauthorized video services, collecting evidence and assisting with legal actions.

Cinenso Launches Channel for Independent Filmmakers

Cinenso has launched the Cinenso Channel, a secure platform, with multi-digital rights management, and payment infrastructure and storage at a nominal cost for global programmers of independent film content, from short films to niche genre films. Venice Cinemas has deployed a suite of innovative projection and content management solutions to deliver awe-inspiring visuals in its upgraded multiplex in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Located in the bustling business district of Zhongli, Venice Cinemas is spread across two buildings connected by an iconic, red-colored pedestrian bridge reminiscent of those found in Venice, Italy. It recently underwent a major facelift by adding five new halls at the basement level, boosting the total number of cinema auditoriums from 10 to 15. These five new halls are equipped with 8.5-meter (27.8 foot) screens, adorned in special color schemes, and connected to a spacious lobby featuring highly immersive waterfall projections that accentuates the multiplex’s distinctive aquatic theme.

SMPTE Hollywood Virtual Meeting to Discuss TikTok
