Hollywood Software has signed a three-year deal with multimedia production and distribution company, The Weinstein Company, to utilize Hollywood Software’s TDS software across all three of its companies—including TWC, genre label Dimension Films and multi-platform distribution arm Radius-TWC—to manage distribution of upcoming features.

TWC, which has been using Hollywood Software’s server-based model for more than a decade, signed the deal with Hollywood Software in early July.

TWC’s renewed deal with Hollywood Software comes just as the studio is gearing up to unveil the remainder of its 2015 slate with a wide variety of both commercial and prestige titles. The company will end the summer by releasing action film No Escape starring Owen Wilson, Lake Bell and Pierce Brosnan before heading to the Toronto International Film Festival to world premiere their transgender family dramedy About Ray starring Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning and Susan Sarandon.

John Wells-directed chef drama Burnt, starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller, will roll into theaters nationwide on October 23rd, with Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara-led Carol officially entering the awards circuit on November 20th. TWC will end the year with a bang in releasing Quentin Tarantino’s latest feature The Hateful Eight in 70mm on Christmas Day.

“Having been a long-time client, The Weinstein Company had a vast amount of data to convert in a very short amount of time,” said David Gajda, president, Hollywood Software. “We were able to complete data migration, cloud migration, training and implementation in just under a month. We’re incredibly proud of the speed with which we were able to make this conversion with absolutely no disruption to their business.”

“Hollywood Software has implemented some remarkable changes to their TDS software thanks to cloud-based technology,” said Erik Lomis, TWC president of theatrical distribution & home entertainment. “We wanted to be in a position where we could take full advantage of their great services as we head into a very exciting season. We’re truly excited about all of the innovations they’ve been making and look forward to utilizing future product improvements that the SaaS model will provide.”
