Screenvision today announced a new, long-term agreement with its second largest exhibitor partner, Marcus Theatres that will secure 685 additional screens throughout the country including the Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis DMAs. In addition to this agreement, Screenvision recently secured an agreement with Reading International, strengthening a roster of other just announced long-term deals that include Allen Theatres, B&B Theatres, Bow Tie Cinemas, Classic Cinemas, Malco Theatres and Regency Theatres; these deals total over 2,250 screens nationwide, many of which are in top DMAs such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. With these eight new contracts, Screenvision’s network has never been more secure, with the average contract length now over nine years.

The breadth and length of these new deals illustrates exhibitor confidence in the strength of cinema advertising. This comes in advance of Screenvision’s third Upfront event, being held on May 7th in New York City, where the company will demonstrate its ability to break through media fragmentation and clutter to demonstrate its national scale and unparalleled impact.

“Screenvision is thrilled to continue to secure and expand its footprint across the country with the extension of these deals,” said Darryl Schaffer, executive vice president, operations and exhibitor relations, Screenvision.  “Our network has never been more stable and our partners continue to innovate, building new theatres and upgrading existing ones.  In addition to the security of the network, there is an exciting newness to the network as well.”

Rolando Rodriguez, president and CEO of Marcus Theatres said, “I’ve been very impressed with Screenvision’s innovative strategy and approach to cinema advertising.  We have enjoyed a productive and successful relationship with Screenvision and we look forward, with confidence, to growing that success within our theatre network.”
